The Superyacht Builders Association (SYBAss) has appointed Emma Morrison as Communications Director. She brings 8 years of online marketing & communications experience to the team, in both business-to-business and business-to-consumer campaigns.
“Following the SYBAss members’ decision to move ‘The Superyacht Life’ campaign in-house and further develop it with a stronger online focus, we required a professional with the right expertise to take on this challenge,” comments Theo Hooning, secretary general of SYBAss. “While ‘The Superyacht Life’ is a collective business-to-consumer campaign that promotes the unrivalled lifestyle that the SYBAss members’ products offer, simultaneously, this expansion also provides opportunities on the business-to-business side. Here the focus will be on increasing the visibility of the superyacht industry, advocating its forward-thinking innovations and technologies, unique craftsmanship as well as its positive impact on local economies to stakeholders, including regulators.”
Morrison takes on this new role as of 1st of August 2016 and will focus on a comprehensive communications campaign to support SYBAss’ B2B and B2C efforts, in close cooperation with the SYBAss members. She will also be the main point of contact for all media requests.
“I’m looking forward to my new role as Communications Director at SYBAss,” comments Morrison. “It’s an exciting challenge to promote the superyacht lifestyle to UHNWIs who have yet to discover the unlimited possibilities that the SYBAss members are able to turn into reality. I’m also eager to employ my digital marketing experience to strengthen the industry’s visibility amongst important stakeholders and position the industry as a mature and innovative sector.”
With this new addition to the team, the SYBAss secretariat now consists of Theo Hooning – Secretary General, Robert van Tol – Operational Director, Hans Huisman – Technical and Environmental Director and Emma Morrison – Communications Director.
