More than ever the superyacht industry requires structures and processes that help yards get more out of their business environment. Enhancing professionalism is a vital aspect of SYBAss’ activities and is manifested in various practical ways:

• The SYBAss Annual Economic Report is developed in cooperation with the Boston Consultancy Group. This report informs members about the current financial climate and the position of high net worth individuals worldwide.
• The SYBAss Annual Statistics Report gives a reliable benchmark for members on the number of large yachts and their specifications. Compiled in cooperation with Malcolm Wood, the data also covers issues such as builds by non-SYBAss members and the geographical spread of superyacht ownership.
• Working with the renowned Delft University of Technology, data from SYBAss members has been used to develop a way of accurately calculating the compensated gross tonnage of the yachting industry. This enables us to compare the different sections of the shipbuilding industry and underline the significance of superyachts. The report is available below.
